Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Meg loves to play in the recycling bin. We have to double check it before we take it out because she is known for recycling some of Mama and Daddy's personal effects.

Look who's walking!!!

On Sunday, November 30, 2008 Meghan Jane Morse walked her way into toddlerhood! I was doing the dishes and in walked my baby. I couldn't believe it. I called out to Andy, who was reading in another room. Together two proud parents circled the apartment after our daughter clapping and offering praise. It was a fun milestone to experience as a family. It was only a few days before that Meg really took what we would call her first steps. She's a quick study once she actually attempts something!

The video is only to prove she was, in fact, walking, but Daddy and Mama agree that it doesn't do Meg's walking prowess justice (she walked for hours, and walked and clapped at the same time, and then walked some more).

Tree Lighting

This year, the Saturday after Thanksgiving, we put on our warm yuletide duds and went to downtown Boston for the Macy's Christmas Tree Lighting with carols sung by the Children's Chorus. It was fun and Meg seemed to like the lights but mostly she liked seeing all the other little kids out and about.

Favorite things

Oprah has her favorite things and so does Meghan. Two in particular are looking out the window (at squirrels, snow, rain, trees, children, etc.) and munching from her Snack Trap (most likely TJ's Os).

Thanksgiving

My friend Kim was gracious enough to host five couples and their kids for Thanksgiving this year. Translation: I did not have to slave away days of my life in the kitchen (not that I would have particularly minded) nor did I have to clean my apartment to within an inch of its life. It was just a huge relief not to fret about "the bird."

Turkey day has come and gone and we only have a few pictures to prove it... and here they are:

Turkey Day fire drill! The birds, yes there were two, had a little last minute boil over and caused a smoky incident. We were all smiles and the birds remained unharmed (by unharmed I mean still no-longer-living but brined to juicy perfection - YUM). Disaster averted.

It was a potluck, which was great because, as our friend Jessica aptly put it, we all brought our A-game dishes. Once again - YUM!

Thanksgiving-lite

Each year HBS sponsors a Thanksgiving-like feast for each section old and new. It was so fun to remember back to last year when all the babies were so small!! This year they were all walking around and eating turkey. It was a fun night. Below is a picture of Meg and her buddies (the same ones from our family vacation in August).
